U.S. Rep. Peter Welch’s Senate campaign on Monday launched the “Welch Wagon” 14 County Tour across Vermont in Orleans County. The tour highlights Peter’s commitment to connect with Vermonters in their own communities throughout his 15 years as their Congressman. The tour will include visits with small business owners, community leaders, and will provide opportunities for voters to enjoy a conversation with Rep. Welch through our “Post-Up with Peter” meet and greet sessions. Rep. Welch will meet with and listen to Vermonters in all 14 counties over the coming weeks. Details for each county visit will be provided to the public soon.
Congressman Peter Welch said, “It’s a privilege for me to wake up every day and try to help Vermonters address their challenges as their Member of Congress. I have always tried to bring the Vermont Way to Washington throughout my career in Congress – and that starts with listening to Vermonters in their own communities. It’s what I have always enjoyed about being Vermont’s representative and what I am committed to maintaining throughout this campaign and if I am elected to the Senate. I’m excited to visit every corner of our great state as I work to earn Vermonters’ vote this November.”
Campaign Manager Ryan McLaren said, “This is an amazing opportunity for our campaign and Vermonters to engage directly in communities throughout the state. Peter is on the frontlines fighting to save our democracy, address the climate crisis, lower costs for working Vermonters, protect reproductive freedom and so much more – he’s looking forward to listening to and engaging with voters in each county all across the state to share how he’ll lead as Vermont’s next Senator. The stakes of this election are too high to sit out, so we look forward to providing Vermonters with opportunities to join our team over the next two months.”
