Welch Campaign Launches TV Ad “Vote,” Featuring Vermonters Excited to Support Welch in Closing Campaign Message
U.S. Rep. Peter Welch’s Senate campaign on Thursday launched a new TV ad titled “Vote.” Vermonters Pat Cram, Cara Tobin, Lanie and Leslie Kanat, and Melinda Moulton speak to the need to elect Rep. Welch to the Senate in a closing campaign message to voters.
Campaign Manager Ryan McLaren said:
“The stakes of this election are too high to sit this one out – we need everyone to get out and vote in this all-hands-on-deck moment for Vermont and our country. Peter understands the concerns that Vermonters share, and is the only candidate in this race who’s ready to deliver on day one in office. We need his leadership in the Senate if we are going to lower costs for Vermont’s working families, protect our democracy, combat the climate crisis, and stop attacks against reproductive freedom. So get involved by making voting plans, encouraging friends to vote, volunteering, and joining our efforts to ensure we elect Peter to the U.S. Senate in November.”
The full ad can be seen here and the transcript is below:
Pat Cram: Peter Welch does what’s right for the people of Vermont.
Cara Tobin: Peter Welch is somebody who cares about working families, he’s going to fight for the things that are important to us. Affordable childcare, affordable healthcare, affordable housing.
Leslie Kanat: He knows what needs to be done and gets it done.
Melinda Moulton: Peter has taken on the pharmaceutical companies, and he’ll stand up for the little guy against big corporations.
Tobin: It is a critical moment in our country and it’s just so important that people vote for Peter Welch right now.
“I’m Peter Welch and I approve this message.”
